BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Stanley B. Fry, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Fry has served as the President and CEO of FlashPoint Technology, Inc. from its formation in November 1996 until January 1999, and again served as CEO starting in October 1999 until the present. He has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors since the company's founding. Mr. Fry was also a founder and the Chairman of PictureWorks Technology, Inc., Image Software, Inc., and Pixami, Inc. From January 1979 until May 1985, he was Director of Research and Development at Wang Laboratories.
Edward D. Herrick, Director
Mr. Herrick has conducted private equity investment operations for 30 years. Personally and through various entities and affiliates, Mr. Herrick continues to be an active investor and advisor in the fields of real estate, venture capital and financial services. Real estate holdings consist of multi-family apartment complexes, various warehouse and office buildings and several land developments throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, and Costa Rica. Mr. Herrick has originated and/or participated in venture capital investments through all stages of the venture investment cycle up to initial public offerings. Acquisitions and financings have totaled well over $1 billion. Mr. Herrick sits on numerous boards and holds an MBA from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
Cyrus Gregg, Director
Mr. Gregg is a private investor who is also the past Chairman and Owner of Saphikon, Inc., a Milford, NH-based manufacturer of high temperature crystal products. Mr. Gregg is presently a managing member of Photran LLC, a San Diego-based manufacturer of high temperature crystal fiber products and the managing partner of an extensive portfolio of commercial real estate. His education includes a BA from Yale University and an MBA from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
Ross Bott, Director
Mr. Bott has served as a FlashPoint Director since May 13, 2005. In the past five years, he has combined interim CEO roles in several high tech startups in wireless, enterprise software and systems while working as a partner in Redpoint Ventures (Silicon Valley), Brainheart Capital (Sweden), and Vision Capital (US and Europe). Prior to these roles, Mr. Bott was founding CEO of Onebox.com, a leading provider of Web-based communications services. Bott launched Onebox and grew it to 3+ million users in 9 months before its acquisition by Phone.com (now Openwave), where he remained as COO. Mr. Bott was formerly an Executive VP at Adobe Systems, with responsibility for the divisions which produced and marketed all of Adobe's products, and a Senior VP at SGI, where he founded their commercial server division and grew it into a $450M business in four years. Bott earlier was CTO at Pyramid Technology, and at Xerox PARC. Mr. Bott holds a BS in Mathematics from Stanford and a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the University of California, San Diego.
